On Monday, January 19, 2015, the customary ceremony of cutting the New Year cake of National Defence Fund took place, in the presence of the HAGS Chief Lieutenant General Christos Manolas.

The ceremony was held in "Kosmetou Hall" at the NDF Mansion (Thalou & Pittacus) in Plaka.

The ceremony involved the military and civilian personnel of NDF, as well as the staff of the co-located Army History Directorate.

The ceremony was honored by the presence of the B Deputy Chief HAGS, Lieutenant General Alexandros Ikonomou, the Commanding General, Higher Army Support Military Command Lieutenant General Petros Georgiou, President and CEO of Public Properties Company SA. Mr. Demetrios Demetriou, Chairman of Army Veteran Officers' Union ret. Major General Evangelos Danias, the President of the Panhellenic Military Federation ret. Brigadier General Vassilis Nikolopoulos, the Commander of Infrastructure and Environmental Protection Directorate Brigadier General Nicholas Lalos, the Commander of Army History Directorate Brigadier General Nicholas Delatolas.

The ceremony was attended by partners, former officers and civilian staff of NDF, as well as a number of former soldiers who served their term in NDF.
